Finding local language translations of chemical names is a problem facing all chemical companies.

CED has released a Chemical Name Library to complement our existing multilingual library (MLL) of safety expressions. This contains more than 3500 chemical names translated into 22 European languages.

The substances concerned include those having harmonised classifications at EU level. Each entry in this catalogue includes a chemical name, the EC and CAS numbers and an index number referring to the European Union list of dangerous substances.
